Damo and a group of volunteers assisting a disabled surfer acheiving his dream to ride a wave..

With a desire to let underprivileged youth and disabled of all ages grow to love the thrill of surfing, Wedge Surf Skool is dedicated to helping those who are willing to learn.
Each year we hold an Indigenous surf program with volunteers from the Durri Aboriginal corporation and the PCYC. This course is aimed at teaching underprivileged aboriginal youth water safety and grow a love of surfing as a sport. Annually, up to 50 students participate with both a boys program and a girls program run independently.
Disability lessons are also provided, taking time to build confidants and providing the support needed to make this day about reaching the goals that each and every participant wishes to achieve.
All our staff take great enjoyment in seeing someone special reach their goals.
